On the Impact of Automating the IC Analysis Process
When it comes to hardware security assessment, invasive methods have to be considered, as they enable an attacker to bypass all hardware countermeasures and extract the confidential data contained within the target component.

Lightweight Countermeasures Against Original Linear Code Extraction Attacks on a RISC-V Core
The Linear Code Extraction (LCE) attack allows extraction of encrypted non-volatile memory contents in cleartext and can target all secure chip architectures. In collaboration with ENSM, this work has been documented in a scientific publication describing the attack and three proposed countermeasures.

Integrated-Circuit Supply Chain Verification Using Mask Set Comparison in the Open Source Context
This paper presents research on supply chain verification of silicon chips within an open-source context, demonstrating that the availability of mask sets for a given integrated circuit enables comparisons with those recovered from actual produced chips to detect any added or removed circuitry, thereby revealing the presence or absence of silicon backdoors.
